The time of the “Hairspray” premiere is approaching and there is little time left for the audience to reserve the best seats in the hall, so they can enjoy the performance of the first amateurs in the world to be granted the rights to present the musical.

The enthusiastic cast will give its public the opportunity to see the show on 7 different occasions in 4 major Bulgarian cities. The performances will take place in Drama Theater Blagoevgrad (March 31st, April 1st and 2nd), Drama Theater Varna (April 5th), Music Theater Sofia (April 7th) and Drama Theater Plovdiv (April 8th and 9th). In November 2009 the group of 50 students with big dreams and passion for music and theater decided to take a chance and show to the Bulgarian public what they are capable of. The rehearsals have been long and intensive and the organizational arrangements – rocky and challenging.

But the courage and the enthusiasm of these young people have attracted the attention of a number of kind friends of art and culture.
